Eversound proudly announces that Jake Reisch, Devin Jameson and Matt Reiners have been selected as 2019 Argentum Senior Living Leaders under 40 at the Argentum Senior Living Executive Conference on April in San Antonio.
The prestigious award recognizes emerging visionaries dedicated to advancing programs, meaningful public policies, education and research in the gerontological field. Industry leaders are not only recognized for their professional achievements, but also for their contributions to creating a better future for senior living and their communities. This is the first year that the Eversound leaders have received this award from Argentum.
“We are humbled and grateful to accept this award as leaders who are helping shape the future of this industry,” said Matt Reiners, co-founder of Eversound. “We’re proud to be a part of innovations and among the other leaders revolutionizing senior living.”
The team has previously been nationally recognized for their achievements, both in 2018 as Forbes 30 Under 30 for Consumer Tech recipients and in 2016 as Young Entrepreneurs of the Year for New England by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Co-founders Reisch and Reiners started Eversound when they both had family members who were struggling to participate in activities at their assisted living communities. Motivated by their family members’ hearing loss, Reisch and Reiners created an assistive-listening device that would allow them to connect with their communities. The technology has since evolved to combat social isolation and dementia by facilitating effective communication.
The company recently unveiled new communication and therapy management applications in both group and one-on-one interactions for use in dementia care. To date, Eversound positively impacts over 6,000 residents living with dementia each day and is used by over 500 communities to provide profound, therapeutic benefits to its residents.
“Our mission is to end social isolation for vulnerable, at-risk individuals,” said Reisch. “Every day we learn of more older adults being empowered by our technology.”
Eversound has won numerous awards including the 2016 The Mature Market Resource Center’s New Project & Technology Award, 2018 National Association of Activity Professionals Business Affiliate Award of Excellence, and 2018 MedTech Boston’s Top 5 Gerontechnology Products for its work to increase social engagement among seniors.
